LENTEN MOMENTS OF MERCY- 24HRS with the Lord

lentmomentsofmercy_560x121

When the Jubilee of Mercy began with the opening of special doors, Pope Francis asked that the ceremony occur in every church in the world as a sign of welcome and inclusion everywhere.

We … entrust the life of the Church, all humanity, and the entire cosmos to the Lordship of Christ, asking him to pour out his mercy upon us like the morning dew, so that everyone may work together to build a brighter future. How much I desire that this year will be steeped in mercy, so that we can go out to every man and woman, bringing the goodness and tenderness of God! May the balm of mercy reach everyone, both believers and those far away, as a sign that the Kingdom of God is already present in our midst! (Pope Francis: The Face of Mercy #5)

At Ta Pinu Shrine, All Nations marian Centre, a special Chapel of Mercy was inaugurated on the 12th December 2015 and the Door of Mercy” is expected to be entered by every pilgrim who come on a pilgrimage to the shrine specially during Lent.

A significant characteristic of a Jubilee year is ‘pilgrimage’.

Some people are able to make a pilgrimage to Rome, others to Israel.

What pilgrimage can you make in your own area?

The faithfuls of the Archdiocese of Melbourne and all around the world have been invited to plan a day of pilgrimage at a Shrine or /and other retreat and spirituality centres.  We invite you to ‘come and experience God’s love and mercy’ at Our Lady Ta Pinu Shrine.

During lent, many pilgrims will be ‘Walking with Mary along the Calvary” – taking a prayer walk along our unique Way of the Cross which stretch along the hillside. Prayer Booklets are available at the church to help you on this journey.
