Archbishop Francis T Little

In 1992 a suitable place for the establishment of the Shrine dedicated to Our Lady Ta Pinu was found above the beautiful valley of Bacchus Marsh, on the outskirts of Melbourne. The required legal and ecclesiastical permissions were sought and granted. The Archbishop of Melbourne, His Lordship Francis Thomas Little  gave permission for Mass to be said each first Saturday of the month.  Each month hundreds of people would gather in front of the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, duly built on the hillside.
