Marija Pomagaj– prosi za nasi Sveta Druzina–  Varuj Nasi

Thanks to the generosity of the Slovenian community of Victoria and Tasmania, construction at the Marian Centre commenced in September 2008 and was completed in November 2008  in preparation for the 40th Anniversary of the Sts Cyril and Methodius in Kew– Melbourne.

The Chapel,  which boast the beautiful mosaic of Marija Pomagaj, was blessed on Saturday 15th Nov 2008 by Most Rev. Metod Pirih, Bishop of Koper– Slovenia, in the Presence of busloads of Slovenian.  Devotees  singing hymns in Slovenian, the statues of the   Holy  Family were blessed by Rev. Dr. Viktor Papez OFM. The mosaic was also blessed by Fr, Ciril A. Bozic OFM – Migrant Chaplain for the Slovenian Community of Victoria and Tasmania.
