On the 25th May 2008, Bishop Peter Connors together with  the Portuguese community  celebrated mass at the  MarianCentre as part of a fund-raising project to raise funds for the construction of a oratory dedicated to  Our Lady of Fatima. 

To the delight of many, construction was completed on the  7th  of June , with the official   inauguration and blessing occurring on the 12th October 2008 concelebrated by  Bishop Christopher  Prowse ,Fr .Jose Gzadelupe  Hernández  & many other members of the clergy.

The oratory which boasts its bell in the steeple, comes to light each year during the feast of Our Lady of Fatima which is celebrated over two days  closer to 12-13 October each year.  Rosary and Mass is also celebrated at the Oratory in the 5th Sunday of the months which comprise 5 Sundays .
